HIGH SHERIFF OF HAMPSHIRE ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF COMMUNITY AWARDS

The High Sheriff of Hampshire 2016/17 Tom Floyd announces the launch of the High Sheriff Community Awards and is calling for public servants, voluntary groups and individuals to submit their entries for the annual community awards. The awards are designed to showcase the vibrant culture that is alive in Hampshire, and hopefully inspire others to make Hampshire a better, safer county for us all to live in.

THE ISLE OF WIGHT COMMUNITY FUND APPOINTS NEW CHAIRMAN RICHARD PREST

Every year the Isle of Wight Community Fund helps in financing community groups across the Island. This year the fund is celebrating a milestone. Since being founded in 2007, it has awarded over £750,000 in grants to 218 local community groups and charities.

Horatio's Garden enables hospital patients to get their hands in the soil and create their own gardens, enabling them to develop a new skill they can continue when they return home.

HIWCF supportS Mental Health Awareness 

Government, major employers and national charities have endorsed the importance of attention and energy sharply focused on evidence-based programmes offering advice and help on youth mental health problems including depression, anxiety and stress. We believe there is a need to link complementary approaches to the promotion and protection of youth mental health through prevention and treatment.
